Three Ways to Utilize Your Kitchen Space for Your Pets

We know that your pets are your family and it’s important for them to also be comfortable in your new kitchen. If you feel like your kitchen has wasted space in some areas, you may be able to use that space for pet-related storage. Your four-legged friends as well as your two-legged friends will love these three convenient and adorable additions to your kitchen design.

Doggy Door

This doggy door is a panel with tempered glass that pulls in and out of the back of the peninsula. It is a great replacement to a doggy gate because it matches your cabinetry and it has a convenient hiding spot so you’ll never lose it.

Pet Food Pull Out

Instead of using a pull-out cabinet like this for a waste bin, you can fill the bin with dog or cat food! If you place this right next to the pet food area of your kitchen, it will make feeding time easy as can be. You and your pet will be happy you did so!

Toe Kick Drawer for Pet Food

Usually the toe kick, which is 4 to 4.5” below your standard cabinet, is just recessed dead space so you can stand right up against your cabinet to prep/cook. However, cabinetry companies are now beginning to utilize this space for additional storage and purposes. One that we are loving is to use this space for your dog/cat food! This keeps the pet food bowls out of the way and keeps your kitchen looking cleaner.
