The Apuzzo Kitchens story begins in post-war Italy. Founder, Remo Apuzzo, apprenticed in his uncles woodworking shop as a young man in order to best learn the trade that had been handed down in his family for generations. Upon emigrating to the United States of America in the late 1950's Remo was employed by one of the leading case good manufacturers in New York City.
As the years went by, marriage and family moved Remo to the Mid-Hudson Valley. There he partnered with a local cabinetmaker for about ten years with the dream of eventually starting his own business. In 1979, the opportunity presented itself and he started up a 1,000 square foot shop. Securing his first clients, the Apuzzo Kitchens company was born.
Within the first seven years, business was constantly expanding to include more customers and eventually more family. Remo tutored two of his sons, John and Joe, on the finer practices of woodworking and one of his primary business principles: The customer is the most important part of the sale!
By the late 1980's, John and Joe both graduated college with bachelor degrees and returned home to invest themselves in the family business their father had started. Since then, the wood shop has expanded to a 6,000 sq. ft. building incorporating additional machinery and staff to better serve their clientele.
Twenty years later with thousands of satisfied customers at their side, Apuzzo Kitchens continues to look forward to the future with great optimism. As experts in custom cabinetry and kitchen design, they have joined the movement of green building. In addition, new residential trends provide exciting opportunities for the staff at Apuzzo Kitchens to show you just what they are capable of creating.
As each day passes, bringing change and evolution to products and design, Remo's mantra continues to resonate through the staff at Apuzzo Kitchens- "The customer is the most important part of the sale".
